Websites and consultation booking for aesthetics clinics

M1 Studio builds websites for aesthetics clinics that focus on consultations rather than products, in line with UK advertising rules, and take consultation deposits online. They work alongside the Instagram account where many of your clients first find you.

What gets in the way for aesthetics clinics.

You can’t advertise the medicine itself
Prescription-only medicines such as botulinum toxin can’t be advertised to the public in the UK, under MHRA rules and the CAP Code. Pages and posts need to talk about the consultation and the concern, not the product.
Consultations booked and not attended
A consultation slot held for someone who doesn’t come is lost practitioner time. A deposit taken at booking, with your cancellation terms shown, sets expectations.
Instagram interest that stalls
People find you on Instagram, then land on a messy link page or a long DM thread. They need one clear page that explains the consultation and lets them book it.
Trust in who is treating them
Careful clients want to know the practitioner’s background, whether a prescriber is involved and where treatment happens. Hiding that behind a booking button makes them hesitate.

How your customers choose.

Clients often discover a clinic on Instagram, through a friend or in a local search. Then they check your website to see who the practitioner is, their background, the clinic setting and how to book a consultation. They want to feel safe: a named prescriber where one is involved, a proper consultation process and clear aftercare matter more to careful clients than a discount.

Can my website mention botox?

Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, and in the UK prescription-only medicines can’t be advertised to the public. That covers your website and social media. Clinic pages usually talk about the consultation and the concern, such as lines and wrinkles, rather than the product. The ASA publishes guidance on this; check it or ask a compliance adviser, as M1 can’t give legal advice.

Should I take deposits for consultations?

Many clinics do. Some take the deposit off the treatment price if the client goes ahead. Show the amount and your cancellation terms clearly when people book.

Does my clinic need a website if I have Instagram?

Instagram is where people discover you, but it doesn’t explain your consultation process, credentials or prices well, and you don’t control who sees your posts. A website gives people somewhere clear to check you and book.
