Websites and local search for electricians
M1 Studio builds websites for electricians, sorts out your Google Business Profile and sets up follow-up for the calls you can’t take on a job. Your NICEIC or NAPIT registration and the work you do, from rewires to landlord EICRs, are laid out clearly for the people checking you.

What gets in the way for electricians.
- Scheme membership that doesn’t show
- Being registered with NICEIC or NAPIT lets you sign off notifiable domestic work under Part P in England and Wales. If your registration isn’t on your site and Google profile, customers can’t tell you apart from someone who isn’t registered.
- Landlord work nobody knows you do
- Private landlords in England need an electrical safety check (an EICR) at least every 5 years. It’s steady, repeat work, but only if landlords and agents can find a page that says you do it, where you cover and how to book.
- Calls missed on the tools
- You can’t answer with the power off and a consumer unit open in front of you. Callers who hear voicemail often try the next electrician instead.
- Small jobs and big jobs in one inbox
- A socket move and a full rewire arrive the same way. Without a simple way to ask what the job is, you spend time ringing back people whose job you’d never take.
How your customers choose.
Homeowners usually find an electrician through a Google search, a recommendation in a local Facebook group or a directory. Before they call, careful ones check you’re registered with a scheme like NICEIC or NAPIT, because in England and Wales that means you can self-certify notifiable domestic work under Part P of the Building Regulations. Landlords and letting agents buy differently: they need EICRs done on time across several properties, and they stick with the electrician who is easy to book and sends the report promptly.

What should an electrician’s website show?
Your scheme registration (NICEIC, NAPIT or another), the work you do and don’t do, the areas you cover, real photos and a clear way to call or send details. If you do landlord EICRs, give them their own page, because landlords search for that specifically.
Can you help me get landlord and letting agent work?
M1 can build a page for landlord EICRs and make sure your Google profile lists it as a service. Winning the work is still down to your price and how quickly you turn reports round. A Blueprint looks at where your enquiries come from and what to fix first.
Why don’t I show up on Google Maps?
Often it’s an incomplete Google Business Profile, a service area that doesn’t match where you work, or too few recent reviews. The guide to not showing on Google walks through the checks you can do yourself.
