Why isn’t my nursery website getting enquiries?
Usually because it doesn’t answer what parents check before they visit: fees and sessions, which funded hours you offer, whether you have places, your opening hours and your latest Ofsted report. Put those on the site with real photos, and make booking a show-round the obvious next step.

- Yes, the first steps below
Why it happens to nurseries and childminders.
- Parents plan months ahead
- Many start looking long before they need a place and draw up a shortlist. If your site doesn’t give them enough to shortlist you, they don’t visit.
- Funded hours raise questions
- Parents want to know which government funded hours you take and how they work at your setting. If it’s unclear, they phone, or they pick a setting that explains it.
- Ofsted reporting has changed
- Since November 2025, settings inspected in England get a report card with a grade for each area instead of a single-word judgement, while others still show their older report. A link to your latest report, with the inspection date, saves confusion.
- The visit is the real decision
- Few parents choose a nursery without seeing it. A website that makes booking a visit hard loses them at the last step.

Should we put fees on our website?
Parents usually want at least a guide. If fees vary by age and session, show a table or a starting price, and say what’s included. Unclear fees are a common reason parents phone rather than book a visit. See the guide to websites that don’t get enquiries.
Can you promise we’ll fill our places?
No. Nobody can honestly promise that. M1 makes your setting easier to find and your website easier to act on. The free Scorecard shows where enquiries might be slipping away.
What does a nursery website cost?
The Foundation Build starts from £3,500 and typically takes 3 to 4 weeks once the scope is agreed and content is received. The website cost estimator gives a rough figure for what you need.
