Why it happens to martial arts and boxing clubs.
- Parents decide for kids
- For junior classes the person reading your site is a parent. They want times by age group, safeguarding details and what their child needs to bring.
- Beginners worry about the step
- Adults new to boxing or martial arts wonder if they’re fit enough and whether they’ll have to spar. If the site doesn’t say, they don’t come.
- Fight photos put some people off
- Competition shots show your club’s strength, but a parent or nervous beginner also needs to see a relaxed beginners’ class.
- Trust details are missing

What do parents look for on a boxing club website?
Class times for their child’s age, price, what happens at a first session, who the coaches are, DBS checks and a welfare contact. For amateur boxing clubs, England Boxing affiliation is a common check.
Should I charge for a trial class?
That’s your choice. A small fee, paid at booking, means people are more likely to turn up. Say clearly what it costs and what happens after.
